Serving the craft - preserving our heritage
The Northumbria Branch of the Dry Stone Walling Association was formed in
1993 and actively promotes the aims of the association; namely the preservation
of Dry Stone Walls throughout Great Britain and the training of people in the
craft of dry stone walling.
The branch holds "introduction to dry stone walling" taster days
locally throughout the year and has demonstrations at most of the region's agricultural
shows.
The branch has members from all over Northumberland, Tyne & Wear and Durham
and meets 6 times a year in the Church Cottage (Hall), Riding Mill.
