Tyne Valley Cycle Route – share your views

Parish and town councils in the Tyne Valley are coming together to campaign for the creation of a Tyne Valley Cycle Superhighway linking Haltwhistle, Haydon Bridge, Hexham, Corbridge, Riding Mill, Stocksfield and Prudhoe and from there all the way to the coast.
Parishes are currently exploring potential routes and these will then be brought together to form a single agreed proposal. Cllr David Irwin has joined the group to represent Broomhaugh & Riding Parish Council and has prepared a short paper setting out possible options.
If you would like to see and comment on the options, or become involved in any other way, please contact David onĀ david.irwin@ridingmill.org. Even if you do not want to comment, but are a cyclist, please let David know so that we can build a picture of the number of cyclists in the village and our collective aspirations for cycling more safely.
