Welcome to Riding Mill

MESSAGE FOR RESIDENTS WORRIED ABOUT THE CORONAVIRUS

Should you catch COVID-19, most people will only have mild to moderate symptoms, but the elderly and those with underlying health problems are more vulnerable.

The Parish Council, working alongside the Village Hall Trust, the Church and other organisations in the village, is looking at ways to ensure that older members of the community or those who are self-isolating receive help if required, especially if that person has no friends or family nearby to assist them. By this we mean someone to collect a prescription, help with shopping, make sure you receive a daily phone call or even walk your dog.  We have been inundated with offers of help from local residents – we can always accommodate more volunteers so if you wish to offer your services please email Suzanne Barker, the Village Halls Manager, on suzanne.barkerrmvht@btinternet.com.

There is a dedicated number to call for assistance operating 10 am until 3 pm:

07935 271 922

Please try to call giving us 24 hours’ notice of the service you require.  We are not a health advisory line – if you have any health concerns call the NHS line 111.

Details of local suppliers and a meal service for older residents have been circulated to all homes.

Please be assured there are lots of members of this village who are willing to assist anyone in need – please just call.
