Community Needs – Warm Hubs

COMMUNITY REVIEW

Like many areas, Northumberland is currently expanding its network of warm spaces and places to provide a warm welcome to anyone who needs it this winter (please see https://www.northumberland.gov.uk/Support/Types-of-support/Warm-Spaces.aspx for more information.

We already have 3 spaces in the village which are community gathering spaces – Parish Hall, Church Cottage & Millennium Hall).

They already encompass a range of activities – see parish hall list below – but is there something missing?

Is there anything stopping you taking part in the current activities?

Do you need transport; do you need help to carry out any of the activities?

Would you just like a warm space to hang out or to chat with your friends?

We are particularly keen to hear from families, with babies through to school age children, to understand what, if any, events or activities would be of use. For example, weekend afternoon family film clubs, extra toddler stay and play groups?

Please email Kate (potter.k@hotmail.co.uk)  or Judy (j19wilthew@hotmail.com) with any comments or suggestions. If you’re able to help in anyway or simply to let us know that you or someone you know would benefit from such support. Alternatively, drop a note into the box provided at the Parish Hall. All suggestions will be considered.
